I had the Paris boutique version of the UTT which I replaced with a rose gold version. I was unsure about the chiseled dial WG variant as the dial appeared to overpower the watch in pictures, and I felt it might garner unwanted attention.
I was fortunate to be able to view the chiseled dial version in person recently and the dial is a lot more subtle than it appears in pictures. Unless you see the dial up-close, it looks like a frosted grey.
Interestingly, I find it tones down the watch and adds a lot more visual interest relative to the Paris boutique and rose gold versions. The blue globe at the bottom appears less attention drawing and blends in better in the chiseled dial variant than the starker white of the Paris version.
As the chiseling is done by hand, each of the 200 pieces apparently looks a little different and perhaps the one I viewed has finer, more subtle chiseling than others.
Anyhow, I was smitten enough to add this to my collection and thought I’d share a couple of pictures of this masterpiece for you to enjoy.
