So here’s my choice:
It did speak to me more for the following reasons:
1.Vintage charm without the hassle and problems associated with one, together with the agony of trying to hunt one down.
2. The right size and proportions with modern materials that are finely executed throughout, recreating the original with an even better finish.
3.The execution of the matt dial, smooth bezel with contrasting polished & brushed sides gives it a quality feel.
4. Perfect size - anything bigger than the 40.5mm would definitely not be to my taste.
5.Love the plexiglass and the way it’s shaped (slightly domed) and flushed with the bezel.
6.The added bonus of the alarm, which is a first for me. However, I’m a bit baffled by the graduation of the minutes. Not a big issue though.
7.The watch is lighter than it looks and is very comfortable IMO.
Finally, this forum and many of its esteemed members have provided much fuel for thought and I thank you. Need I mention Mr.666 and his evil ways – the many provocative examples in his fine stable have led many into TEMPTATION – including me!
Some quick pics. And I’m hoping someone else will provide better ones in due course.
I’m sure more are on the way.
Thank you for looking and have a good evening.
Cheers
Fernando
PS. I haven't given up on the AP yet.
