Dinner with "the boss"
Recently I attended a dinner to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Reverso.
I would like to extend my thanks publicly to Richemont and JLC for organising this event.
The dinner was held in the dining room of a local castle on a warm Sydney spring evening. The tables sat 12 and were decorated to resemble the Reverso case. A chef was flown in for the event. Personally decorated chocolates were a nice touch, mirroring how the Reverso may also be decorated.
A plethora of watches was on display including the Gyrotourbillon 2. The unveiling of the Reverso Repetition Minutes a Rideau was a highlight. The timing of Monsieur Lambert's after dinner speech to the arrival of the souffle (very very delicious) was to perfection.
It was a pleasure to meet with Monsieur Lambert. As has been said before, he is a very warm, friendly, energetic and enthusiastic man. Learning about the Manufacture was very interesting. I enjoyed seeing his new release perpetual calendar.
It was also a pleasure to meet Alexis from JLC (SE Asia and Australia region).
The speech by our MC (former Australian Rugby Captain) John Eales, was entertaining.
I am sorry that I have no photos to share apart from this "after" photo.
JLC certainly knows how to celebrate in style.
