I'm starting to wonder if we shouldn't create a Club which would gather all the Geophysic Fans. The idea came on one Sunday while I was attending a deal between two friends. After all, isn't the Geophysic a purist watch? Its intrinseque value is inside, a...
I couldn't agree more that this watch -almost like no other- embodies the notion of intrinsic values, which reveal themselves to the owner/admirer because he truly cares and appreciates the discreetness and charm of this watch. No, unfortunately, I don't ...
Put a Rolex Daytona 116 520 and a Geophysic side by side... Show both of them to neophytes. What would be the score? Out of 10, let's say that Rolex will win 9 times out of ten. Now, try the same thing with WIS... The contrary will happen. As for the valu...
I inquired about how much damage. Double what you estimated in other post. I guess that's the ticket for a pristine piece of history. Thanks for letting me know about condition Joe Ps. This shop has great vintage pieces. I'll bet you are like a kid in a c...
Both elegant and rough at the same time, a dressed tool watch! Interesting combo with the brown croco... Thank you for sharing this stunning example! Here are two quick pics of mine. Best Blomman...
Hi Nicolas here's mine in 18K YG, serial numbers are the ones in Zaf Basha's book. It also has the radium dots on the spacer ring. movement in stunning conditions. And of course I am ready to enter the Geo Club Ciao Franco...
I would make a big exception and get the watch in YK ANd in RG... Very nice specimen, my friend. Next time we meet, bring it with you, I will take some pictures, if you allow me to do so. Best, Nicolas
I would also like to join such a club..and more importantly I'd like to buy a new re-edition of the geophysics - it is in an ideal style, so tasteful.. Anyway, we'll see what JLC comes up with....
It is really risky to play with a Cult... But yes, a faithful re edition of the Geophysic, with just 3 more milimeters that would be great. Which means a macho case, a refined dial, and a great MANUAL movement... Food for thought... Best, Nicolas This mes...
JLC has a track record for some classy re-editions... I would agree it has to be manual... but that might be a risk on this one, that they don't go that direction. I'll be really happy if they do
They don't have the case, they have to work on another plexy, and the most problematic is the movement. It has to be manual, and it has to feature some characteristics which were indissociable frome the Geophysic movement. Here, no compromise... Best, Nic...
I am too stupid now I'm paying for it. Or more accurately have to pay for it . I should stop reading your post for at least ... ... 7 years or else I'll have no peaceful night. Regards Tyler
How many watches have this kind of detail??? The Geophysic is a discrete monster of Chronometry, my friend. Nobody will notice it, except the connoisseur. That is another of its charms... Best, Michael. Nicolas
There's nothing I don't love about these (other than the price, which has been sailing up, up and away over the past few years). I've still never had the pleasure of handling one, but one day...... Darren
and find the one which will make your heart beat faster... Some two or three years ago, a friend of mine came to visit me with a ... Rosez Gold Geophysic on the wrist. I congratulated him, and asked him where he found this marvel. He told me that his watc...
