Congrats - thats the beautiful watch
and great one to start adventure with vintage JLC - if that would be my watch I leave dial as it is or find nos one or someone who can clean it without repainting
the dial on your watch looks like somebody tried to do cleaning and after removing some of the minute indexes luckily stop -
you need an expert to do dial cleaning and its also very risky process - as well after it has to be preserved
if your dial has any signs of rust or scratches up to the metal it will just destroy the dial
but the watch is lovely and I ll try to wear it for a while and see what will be my feeling
my best regards

Its lovely. You got the right advice. dont touch the dial or case now but wait and see if you dont start to appreciate the patina as it is - IMO it looks nice- but its a matter of taste. When you get more money in the future you could trade it up or have ...

Welcome here, firstly. As for your dial, take your time and live with your watch as it is, for the moment. You could also hunt a NOS dial on the net, as they're spotting, from time to time. I should email JLC ( wait till the 16th of August, as they're on ...

And congrats to your JLC! I agree with all above to let it be for a while and see if you like it “as is” or not. If not maybe hunt one in better condition and trade up, or like Nicolas suggested, find a better dial for this one. From the look ...
