Can you see it?
To the JLC aficionados,
recently I saw an unusual JLC watch at a German airport and thought, you might appreciate the photos.
1. First glance at a fair distance
2. Some familiar look, let´s get closer
3. That is a R......, isn´t it?
4. Yes, there can be no doubt: it is a pretty large Reverso!
Seen a the Nuremberg Airport, Bavaria, Germany.
The JLC headquarter for Germany used to be located in Nuremberg and obviously JLC gave these special public clocks.

... and I can remember having seen some other funny ones like the huge Tissot watch (was it from Tokyo?) somewhere here, Daos. There was also a series of ancient town clocks displayed sometime. Best regards, anaesdoc
That is a bit too big even for my wrist...

I have one in my living room. Not that big, but still. About 17 x 12 inches and of quite solid material and heavy, maybe 8 lbs....

It's profane quarz
But very precise. I'm glad I don't have to take it down to wind it up every week. It's heavy, it's not easy to find the fixture behind the clock and you have to polish a bit afterwards. Still, I do it twice a year to adjust for summer-/wintertime.
It's actually a mechanical....
with mice running on a round cage where the main spring would normally be. Every morning, before the commuters arrive, a nice lady in a JLC white coat comes and feeds them and cleans out the mess that inevitably falls to the bottom of the clock.... uh...y...
