Be careful what you wish for... (modem burner warning)
I remember making casual remarks on my wish for a new Reverso with calendar and moonphase functions a few times here and one time on the JLC facebook page before SIHH 2011. 
One year later, my wish came true at the SIHH 2012. And nine months from then, my dream watch is finally delivered.

Forgive me for the overall blue tint of the pics. I was trying too hard in the post exposure stage to compensate for the yellow tint from the wallpaper and warm ambient light. I must admit to not being familiar with the white balance setting of my new camera also. I had a lot going against me you see.
With that said, I hope you enjoyed the new Grande Reverso Calendar. It is everything I wished for and I must say a big thank you to whoever made this happened. It is, in my view, a very well balanced piece in terms of aesthetics and sophistication at almost the right price. I said "almost" because its retail price is 20% higher than the Grande Reverso Duo which as you know offers no calendar and moonphase but two dials and two timezones. I'd have been happier with a 10% difference, for example, but still I believe the watch is worth it.
The watch arrived last week while I was away on a trip. Imagine the joy I had when turning on my cellphone upon arrival at home airport to receive a message of good news. I wanted to visit my AD the first day I was back but work got in the way and the collection had to wait until yesterday.
Let's see if SIHH 2013 will also bring us the refreshed Master Calendar. I can really use one more moon in my collection.

I never was a Reverso guy but,
I remember when this one came out: it was really attracting, especially because of the calendar poistionning and style. It is a beautiful JLC and if I had to choose a Reverso it would probably be this one. Congratulations Ruckdee ;) Cheers, Mark

Oh it is a new camera purchase but already obsolete model.
It is a more affordable Nikon D7000 to replace my six years old D200 whose repair bills are killing me. Macro shots were taken with Nikon 105/2.8 I already had but did not use much. Glad to hear you like the watch, dreamer. Ruckdee

This watch in SS is huge on my wish list...it was one of
the few pieces of SIHH 2012 that made me really curious. The fact that JLC offers models in SS is in many ways a good thing, as it offers some value, as one cannot always splurge on gold. I find the piece really interesting, and it is huge on my wish list...

Until you posted this, I had forgotten about this new Reverso. It is such lovely watch. This is indeed a great addition to the Reverso lineup. I love the display caseback as well. It is a nice movement to see and it framed very well. Congratulations! Best...
The movement is nicely framed indeed.
I feared that it was going to come out looking silly too with smaller movement. But the manufacture managed to frame it so perfectly that the appendage seems integrated as one with the mechanical heart in the center. Ruckdee

Personally, my only gripe is that I find the apertures "a little" too small, but understand their sizing due to the case width and movement dimensions. Congrats, Ruckdee! -Dean

And as you say, this is the largest possible in this case and movement sizes. I especially like how the moonphase subdial is sunken into different steps. That characteristic of the watch is not instantly noticeable in the standard mugshot on the JLC web s...

To be honest with you, I didn't notice the gold logo when ordering the watch.
And then when I saw it in person, I had mixed feelings with it until my salesperson suggested that it is a good match to the golden moon. Very good thinking on her part I must say. Ruckdee

Certainly I forgot to leave a room with a white wall in my house when building it. That is why I always have problems with yellowish color cast from the wallpaper. I hope my shots don't make the watch less attractive to anyone :D Ruckdee

I confess to being quite addicted to the watch now.
