My partner is thinking to get a Cartier tank because she wants a watch with leather band. She has her eyes on Tank Solo. Whilst I can see that it's relatively 'cheap' and looks nice on her, but I think I should ask her to consider a Master Control Ultra T... 

Who have the older, 34mm MUT, on this board. What I'm not sure about, and I don't know if this was your question or not, is if anyone owns the newer, more feminine MUT. The older one is quite nice (that one is white gold) A...

one with champagne dial and strap, and one with burgundy dial and strap. Both had diamon bezel. Then in 06/07 a black dial and strap was offered (gorgeous!!!). The silver dial is nice, but if she was thinking about a Cartier Tank, she might also consider ...

The MUT is an icon... The " Less is more " fans will appreciate it, truly. The Tank is another nice choice, but my heart beats faster for the MUT. Look at its case back, at its awesome profile, its superb " simplicity ". It is a watch which is hard to bea... 

This is a great watch both for a man and women despite the 34mm size. I wear 44mm watches most of the time but on the few occasions I get into my Penguin suite "Tuxedo" I always wear the JLC Ultra thin. I can't speak for the Cartier but it equally as desi...

Why stop there. For absolute minimalist luxury, style and class. The MUT is the one. Not even a second hand to disrupt its purity....  

Yes, I was thinking the same about the Polaris, and especially the 65... It is indeed a dressy watch, comfortable with a suit, but also with more casual wear. I even know some friends who only have the Polaris as a Dressy watch, in their amazing collectio... 

That whole look is really sharp! I am glad you agree that the '65 Pola is just so stylish and always ready for a night out. That is one of the best photos of the Pola that I have seen. So, my problem with the MUT..is my wrist. Nothing wrong with the MUT a...

The MUT is beautiful inside and out. But why not let your wife decide, since, as you pointed out, the price difference is not that significant and she is the one who will be wearing it. respo

The polaris was not for you wife. The MUT however is the one to consider. I am sorry for the confusion as I brought the polaris into the conversation only as a reference point that I as a regular wristed guy who wears mostly 44mm watches easily wear the 3... 

Don't tempt me with Polaris or else my partner might not be getting a watch and I might get a Polaris for myself instead, haha

Hands down – MUT for sure! But she is the one to wear it – have you checked with her that any of these two is the one she like? Best Blomman

Unfortunately she didn't really like the look of the MUT - because she prefers a watch with numbered dials instead of 'stripes'. That means the other option is the Squadra auto, she likes it, but I don't think she likes it enough to pay for the asking pri... 

Have you considered maybe one like this? If you not in a hurry – I have something in the pipeline for the girls… Need a week or two to put it together… Best Blomman...

Maybe a Panerai. If you want to go in an extreme opposite direction a nice 40mm Panerai Pam 049 or 050 could fit the bill. You never know. Bill...  

is a fantastic watch. A very elegant, and in steel also very light watch that looks a little bigger than 34 mm because of the very thin bezel. You hardly notice it when wearing it, very comfortable. So, no need to hesitate. A true classic for both a woman...
