To say all, I wanted, some months ago, to do a giant thread about All the Reversos produced since 1931 till now...
When I began to work on this topic, I suddenly was afraid by this impossible task.
This topic would need, and should deserve an entire book, indeed.
That's why I made a post about the Platinum Reversos, and it was really an enormous job.
Same problem with the Memovoxes, as the Reverso and the Memovox are 2 JLC Cult watch ,and I should add THE 2 JLC Cult Watches!
So, now my Selection and some explanations about it.
1/ The Original, the Watch which began the Legend the 1931 Reverso:
All is here, an unbelievable strengh and beauty, functionnal, too, nothing less to add, just to admire!
2/ The Commemorative:
I hesitated a lot between two commemorative Reversos, the 60eme, and the Septantieme.
I chose the 70eme, for many reasons:
The metal ( platinum ) while the 60eme is only available in RG.
The sum of complications,, which are also" firsts "and work very well with the idea I have of a Commemorative Watch.
The level of finish, even better on the 70eme, as its movement is made in 18 Carats WG, instead of the 14 carats movement of the 60eme.
Its unbelievable look, as the XGT size fits perfectly on my wrist.
Ref: 300 64 20.
3/ The ultimate, the nicest, the sublime one, the Reverso Tourbillon Skeleton, in platinum:
What to say, except that this is, IMO, one of the most elegant Tourbillon ever put in a Reverso?
A piece of Art!
4/ The Grail Watch, a Summit of Horology and Art, the Gyro II:
I've said all about this piece, recently...
With this selection, each size is represented, each expression of a Cult Watch, housing all the complications of the Horological World...
For sure, every one will have his favourite, and it's a pure delght to see what all our friends will put on this post!
Thanks, Andrew!
Best.
