An interesting and lovely watch: Jaeger Lecoultre Ref E 333.

The first water resistant watch by Jaeger Lecoultre, circa 1939, maybe a bit before...

E means Etanche ( Water Resistant, by the way ).

Which does mean that the watch can stand some water, like when you wash your hands, or a rain, or example, but certainly not a swim...

And, cherry on the cake, a sector dial! I have a soft spot for sector dials. Sadly, not mine.

Best,

Nicolas

This lovely tonneau case displays the same Borgel patent as that V&C watch with 10-sided bezel, registered at the end of 1932.

Nice watch [nt]
