This is a very nice Combo, indeed!
It is coherent with the Vintage look of the Polaris, and with the thickness of the watch.
I went this way with my latest Polaris straps ( 4 mm thick ).
As for the OEM strap, it is interesting, but I think we may find better.
A Tropic, for example, or a Nato ( Nylon or Leather ), a distressed leather strap, there are so many possibilities!

I agree with you that the OEM straps from JLC are great. BUT, I would like to see more after market strap/shoes on our JLC's like we see with the PAMs for example. I think they give our watches a great twist if done correctly. Like yours... B well, Matrix...
