So spotless...

Nicolas, congratulations on the matched pair and having the tribute back in your collection.  Your pictures took me back to when I first acquired my own, inspired by both your and the forum's enthusiasm for it.  It was perfect and pristine and once on a Nato strap, very difficult to get off the wrist.  It has been my constant summer companion since and looks proudly scratched up and abused now but still reliably performing!

Here are a few shots from these last lazy days of summer with Ol' Reliable:

...and back in its early days; you can always tell a fresh Polaris if it is on that original strap!

...and back in its early pre-scratched plexi days; you can always tell a fresh Polaris if that original strap has not melted away!

All the best.

It seems that there is a strong link between the Polaris and me. You certainly know that that some friends replaced the disappeared Tribute to Polaris 65, and found the Vintage Polaris 65. The Tribute to Polaris 68 was still missing in my collection, whic...

congrats!!

Enjoying every second of it as well on the beaches of Marbella...The loop is closed for you! Take care.

So, first thoughts? Size, volumes? Presence on the wrist?

You are used to bigger watches, so what are your feelings with this one? Best, Manu and thanks for your kind words. Nicolas

Funny....6 months ago I would have thought never under 45 mm....

But tu be honest, it hasn't bothered me one bit since I have had it. It is extremely comfortable. I love the tribute to the deep sea EU but not sure that one wouldn't be too small maybe I should try...the dial more than anything fascinates me...the strap ...

If your wife says so! :) Absolutely agree on the strap.

 By: amanico : August 19th, 2012-14:51
But this detail won't bother you too much, as you may be used to play with straps! Best, Nicolas

Huge congrats my friend...

Which is good is to get the feelings on this watch, once again.

I am delighted to see this one back in your collection, where it belongs. You are right of course. Both the '65 and '68 are equally but differently desirable. I chose the '65, but I still think of hunting the '68. You chose both, and that is no doubt the ...

Thanks, Respo. You will have to stand my summer shots of this watch! :)

The TTP 65 and the boriginal Polaris 65, I got both of them last year, 15 months ago... This is not the case of this TT P 68, which came one month before my summer holidays. Just in time for some fun! Thanks for the kind words, my friend. Best, Nicolas.

Congrats mon ami!

Tribute is back in the collection

Hi Nicolas, i am very pleased that your collection is now complete. Now that JLC seemed to have resolved the lume issue with the Deep Sea Tribute do you think we as a group could convince JLC to reissue corrected dial and hands for the polaris Regards Mar...

Corrected hands on the TTP 68? But they correct, already.

 By: amanico : October 23rd, 2012-23:20
As for the dial, I fear bthey won't move. They should have done it, but they won't. It is 3 years, now, that the first TTP landed, and they are all sold out. Best, and thanks for your kind words, Mark. Nicolas
