Re-Discovering the hobby with the Polaris

Given the pandemic and the state of watch prices for in demand models nowadays, been experiencing a bit of watch fatigue and have been holding off on watch purchases.

That is until, I saw this watch while browsing thePurists. 

While it was on my radar a few years ago at launch in SIHH, I must confess that I was distracted by other offerings. 

That is until I logged back on to this wonderful forum of ours and saw it again because of many members' wonderful photos.

Then I realized that this watch hits so many notes that I've been looking for.  It keeps a nice reference to the vintage Polaris while still being thoroughly modern; its discreet enough that it doesn't attract attention when travelling; it can go most anywhere; with anything (even probably a suit); and the rubber strap works pefectly for the tropics where I live. 

But what I most love about it, is the fact that its stealth enough to look like the normal date-polaris, until you notice the 3 crowns and the small Memovox triangle. Makes you appreciate the details even more.

The watch arrived last week and haven't took it off my wrist since. Such a keeper! And just like that, the watch-fatigue is gone. 

Thanks to all the Purists who posted about this watch. Your posts were the ones that got me convinced.
