Hi Folks - my watch model is as follows: JLC Master Compressor Memovox - Model 146.8.97- Picked it up from as a used piece from Wingates in Dallas was in perfect condition then which was abt two years ago - and worked fine.
Im in bombay now, Of late, I did notice a strange clicking sound when I shook my Memovox but that quietened down when I locked the wingnuts for the alarm after winding it up. I've worn it again recently for a few weeks and noticed today when I was driving that the sound ( a soft whirring or clicking sound is more noticeable when I move my wrist. as if a part is loose or something. I don't know if something is loose but all functions, alarm, time, date all work just great and fine. Is it the rotor sound hitting against something...is it normal for a high-end watch such as this to make this sound - then again I read some pieces on watch forums where there have been instances of some debate on the quality of the movements of JLC memovoxes...I also understand they have been discontinued..By Grace, I know its hard to diagnose a problem when you're ten thousand miles away ...but whatever advice any collector can offer or point me towards I would appreciate greatly!!!!
Thx a ton
P
