I have the stainless version

while it does not have the variety of shifting colors you would find in Nico's titanium version, the SS has a clean look that I think balances the unusual hands and numeration that I am very happy with.

The alarm is also a much more useful function than you might expect.

Amvox Question

Hi, The other day I saw a photo of Nico's Amvox 1 in titanium and was very taken by the changing colors of the dial dependent upon the angle and lighting, etc. I don't have any Amvox models and was considering this one. I wanted to inquire of Amvox owners...

One of these 2.

The Amvox One for its modern intepretation of the Polaris. The Amvox Two for its original interpretation of the Chronograph ( no pushers ). After, it is up to you: Are you more an Alarm guy, or a Chrono guy? Best, Nicolas...

Amvox I SS is my definition of a near perfect watch...

After two years I could locate minor enhancements. 1) The minute hand could be bigger, more close to the minute marks (I'm obsessed to precise set a watch) 2) The central crown, the one that drives the internal bezel, could be more stiff. Of course, there...

Right, Nilo. The major issue is the central crown.

And it seems that this issue is inherent to all the Amvoxes 1. Curiously, it is not the case on the TT Polaris. Best, Nicolas

My watchmaker will try to fix this ...

On a future oiling/cleaning. It's the gasket that is too soft. By far, not a big deal. Amvox 1 rules. I'm missing mine, that is on a very deep cave, protected by a nice team of Predadors, Aliens and other nasty species. Cheers, Nilo

Congrats, Robert, and welcome to the Amvox Family! Best, Nicolas

If its only the central crown ...

Forget the service. I'm very picky and it's a very minor issue and yours may not need. Enjoy the Amvox 1. Nilo
