I'm chasing this watch for years and is hard, at least here, to pop up.
Full set, unmolested.
My main reason to desire this watch is part of our "battle" against dates.
The date disturbs the harmony of the dial, among other disadvantages.
The vintage collection was released in 2008 to celebrate the IWC Jubilee (1868–2008).
Here's, finally, my IWC Portuguese Vintage Collection.
Movement, in house, manual wind. Classic.
Large, as it should be a Portuguese. 44mm.
Just a beauty, IMHO.

I typically like dates...
...but I agree that this dial is perfectly balanced and stunning without the distraction of a date,
Dates belongs to the smartphone ...
I keep repeating this over and over. I even dare to suggest to one or two manufacture CEO that they should have, for each model, a date version and a non date one. Cheers, Nilo
but why? if I am signing a document and I forgot the day I certainly don't want to take out the iPhone...
to me dates are here to stay and this is why a lot of manufacturers include them (wisely so).
LOL! I forget to set the date half the time...
...so I'd be in trouble relying on my watches for signing any legal docs!

A date is my favorite complication...
but I agree it often compromises the dial and most watches look more “pure” in design without it. Yours is stunning.
