I'm sure isn't a problem for most people but I used to travel constantly for work and the soft iron cage of the BP set off the metal detectors at airport pre-check without fail. Going through security a few times a week I was like George Clooney in Up In The Air - my shoes don't have metal buckles, my belt buckle was non ferrous, even my sunglasses were titanium so I flew through security. Taking off the BP, finding a spot for it in my carry on bag, and stopping to put it back on after security totally messed with my system. There were one or two times I packed the BP and wore a different watch the days I was flying but that was just silly and I always had to worry about losing whichever watch I wasn't wearing. So it wasn't a great daily and on the weekends half the time I was wearing a sports/dive/beater watch. I don't like having watches I don't wear so once it started getting less wrist time I let it go.
