I’ve a huge fan of the Portugieser Automatic family. It’s probably my favorite IWC available today. Yet, I’ve never actually took the plunge to add one to my collection.🤷♂️
Now, to be frank, I wasn’t that impressed when I saw the artist renditions of their blue panda edition. But, after seeing it in the flesh, I was wrong!
They really did a great update. That white polished and lacquered dial really reinforces the contrast against the deep blue sub-counters. I actually prefer it over the IW500705:

I would love to see this in natural lightning conditions:
I actually checked it out twice during my visit to Chicago. An AD and the IWC Boutique both had it available:
Still a great piece tugging at my heart! Once again, impressed by IWC’s “minor” updates!😉
