So.
Today I went with my new 3754 to my AD's master watchmaker. I had to leave her there for terrible 90 minutes. During this time he put the beauty through its paces.
The result: the watch is in perfect condition with fantastic amplitude values. The movement was only a little oiled and the seals checked. Everything perfect for a long journey together. ๐
She has arrived today!!

And thank God she is in excellent condition. The Watch is NOS (new, never worn). However, it has been stored for 15 years. The box is in bad condition, but all papers exist. Usually I don't do that (to buy on suspicion). I saw this watch many years ago an...
Thank you mdg!

I'm usually a big fan of calm, reduced dials. The 3754's dial is the exact opposite. But I have rarely seen anything so harmonious, perfectly coordinated. And the readability is perfect. Even in the dark. ...
Look how the dials vary!

My perpetual in the middle has Dec at 12 o'clock on the month subdial above 6. Yours has January at 12 o'clock. And your moon subdial at the top is larger. My months, days and dates are flipped at the bottom and yours are not. Interesting! My watch was bu...

Who knows what the future will bring? My heart and mind are pure. I am full of good intentions. Once again. Hahahahaha At the moment I love to play with the rattrapante mechanism. Even if the lighting conditions are not ideal at this time. ...
I have to thank you!!

Namely for bearing my enthusiasm. And for reading my posts. Yes, I was very lucky with the condition of the watch. I was able to convince myself yesterday that it looks like new from the outside. Now I know from my ADโs master watchmaker that the inside o...

Yes, you remember correctly. I also bought my IWC Minute Repeater in Milano. However, I was actually there in November last year. This time regarding the Da Vinci it was a different dealer and the transaction took place via C24 without personal direct con...
Ha! What a nice coincidence.

I completely understand you. And your Patek is a dream.... I like this area very much and know it quite well. For a while I was there twice a year. Starting from Via Gesรน and our favorite hotel, the Four Seasons (located in a former monastery), my wife an...
Unbelievable journey

Impressive story. For 15 years you know a watch, and it sits all the time waiting you wil buy. No others noticed the Da Vinci, so it goes to the owner who desire it the most. I had the same, but in a shorter time period. IWC almost made it for you only, t...
Hahahaha. Great!!

Thanks a lot, dear Wheems@8! Yes, sounds a bit like a fairy tale. I have regretted selling my 3750 for over 15 years. A few years later I made up my mind to make up for my mistake. However, I didn't want to buy the same watch anymore, because my Ex-Da-Vin...
Great reply

I never sold a watch. Simply said, i had no luxury watches 3 years ago. Selling a Seiko sportura brings low money in the pocket, so selling that watch is useless. I made my father happy with that watch. Selling is still not a reason, because why? I decide...

Interesting topic! I've learned a lot over the past years. On the one hand here in the forum, where there are so many knowledgeable watch collectors with a very developed taste. In the other hand my taste has evolved over the years, too, and I've also lea...
Impressing watch life

Iโd discovered that a mechanical watch is something special. I was born in the quartz age and do not mention the power of mechanical watches. What is it? How does it works? Discovering the magic so late in my life, it was unbelievable when i saw for the f...

also more of a new watch buyer. I like it when I start the story of a watch and it shows my own signs of wear. But sometimes you are looking for something very specific that no longer exists. And then the only option left is to go into the used or vintage...
