I have learned that the IWC Minute Repeater is very reliable and robust compared with “typical” MRs because the construction is modular. That means that the MR module is placed between the dial and the movement not integrated in the movement. That makes the watch much more robust and easier to repair.
On the other hand - due to this construction - the IWC MR is not the loudest. The platinum case of mine isn’t helpful either.
But for me it is loud enough and has a lovely sound. And I don‘t hear any mechanisms? Perhaps I am slightly deaf or I have just good luck with mine.

Beautiful dial and numerals. And the watch fits your wrist perfectly. May I politely ask how does the minute repeater sound like? I ask because some people have said that one can hear the mechanism on a IWC minute repeater.
