AP on the other hand seems to pay more attention to the moon phase details which makes a world of difference in enjoyment

Love this model and you're too right..
The moonphase is a big part of the charm. The size makes the dial look uncluttered despite all the information but why I can't ever own it is the size unfortunately! Thanks for sharing such a gorgeous shot.
The size does have that advantage of allowing lots of information to be on the dial but it to never be cluttered or hard to read.
And then the disadvantage that for smaller wrists this one it hard to pull off. See my reply to Ted below. I will add one thing, the lugs are shortish, and so it’s more wearable than the 44.2mm diameter would suggest.
A little bit of love hate with this one.
For several years I wore it regularly, but in the past 3-4 years it’s gotten very little wrist time. The “issue”, if I can call it that, is the size. My wrist was a little larger in the past and I did wear larger watches regularly. These days not so much....
good and bad
This is what I say, a watch made painstakingly has an applied moon and stars or embossed moon and stars, gold plated and well finished as in this case, unlike some very expensive brands who do a screen print.
