...I just don't respond to IWC's novelties. Pilot's watches are supposed to be supremely legible -- presenting the information needed with clarity. Why then a 3-day date window? The press material tells us this triple date arc is supposed to bring to mind altimeters and enhance the cockpit feel of wearing these pieces. I personally don't get that feeling at all. It's not consistent with the spirit of pilot watches IMO. I notice again the increasing size of these pieces. Is there truly a demand for bigger IWCs? Also, is there really a need to add a hokey airplane shaped rotor? We get it. They are pilot watches. These are 5-figure watches from a brand with a long and storied history, not department store fashion quartz.
IWC, I want to love you. You made some of my favorite vintage pieces ever, but I just feel left behind with these novelties.

Too big, too self advertised and over the top..... gun. I would give a closer look at the world time pilot if it didn't have a triple date window though. This piece has some appeal for me ad would be very tempting with no date. Best,

This is the one that stood out for me as well.
I don't really care about the airplane rotor, it would not be a deal breaker for me. I think the dial looks great with the month/date windows. I also like the brushed gold treatment of the case. Very nice. Stewart
