I called Christie's on the 11 December immediately after the auction to ask them when was the last day I could pay for the watch. They replied 9 January 2019 so I told them I would be calling on this day to pay by credit card. They said they would make a note of this so that I would not be deemed a defaulter. Unless notified, Christie's would normally expect the amount to be paid for within 48 hours of the end of the auction.
I know a few successful bids have arrived to their new owners and I am quite sure that the watch remains yours but I do understand your anxiety.

I don't recall his name but he was there last Friday evening Nov 30th (he was the only one manning the MG watches, as they were in a case of their own).
