and I hope you can land this watch. But it is telling about this brand that starting bids for their tourbillons are at $40,000. That is way too low-and still no one is bidding. I fear MG is not long for this world. A shame because their movement quality is on par with the very best.

I aim to pose the question to Christie's and more importantly Moritz Grossmann before the auction closes. Can you remember the name of the MG representative who noticed the flaw too?
I don't recall his name but he was there last Friday evening Nov 30th (he was the only one manning the MG watches, as they were in a case of their own).
I'm pretty sure he said he was based locally in Germany as opposed to being a US based rep. Shouldn't be hard to figure out whom it was. Again, crossing my fingers that I am mistaken and if so apologies for the fire drill! I did look at the photos posted ...
