Can we have an autograph for Pp Gary? biggrin

By the way, we've seen in the past Mr. Halter answering some Purists' questions, and it's very pelasing to have such watchmakers keep in touch with Indies' fans on the forum.

However, your pictures are so nice it is normal they find them appealing too smile

Cheers,

Mark

My wrist and 3 minutes of fame...

A good friend (who has obviously spent way too much time looking at wrist shots) sent me a message yesterday saying that he had seen my wrist in a presentation made by Vianney! Naturally I tuned into the link, and sure enough: Good to see that the indepen...

It was fun to see my photo up on the screen -- and funny that my friend recognized it as my image! Best, Gary

If you search...

Some mention and recognition for the video maker!

as well as for Vianney, who does his best to explain (only in french) about how and why tourbillions were made - and that they will continue to play their part in the future - if in a different way from purely timekeeping restrictions. amerix This message...

How fun

That is really cool gary. Look at Vianney, so conservative in appearance, not so much the mad professor of years past? I'm sure he is still quite mad. I struggle to love his designs. Never can quite get there. maybe when he enlarges the Classic? Or ...?

Even Vianney says

...quite plainly and without rancor that he understands that his designs are not to everyone's taste. I am perhaps one of the few who liked the Antiqua from the start -- but I certainly understand that many others still do not agree with me! Best, Gary

From your lips to Ste. Croix!

We shall see, Rob :-) -- I am not so vain as to believe that I am moving the market, but it is my pleasure if by posting my impressions and photos of these watches I can help pass some of my passion on to others... Best, Gary

Yes indeed, Gary, This is your wrist !

Hello Dear All, Gary's pictures are so nice that I cannot find a better illustration for this page of my conference about tourbillon ! I hope I am better as watchmaker than as speaker but I tried my best to explain how I feel tourbillon is a device of int...

I am very pleased, Vianney!

It brings me real pleasure that you think my photographic attempts represent your beautiful work well -- and I am looking forward to the next chapter! All the best, Gary

The wrist was not designed as an anchor for a watch.

By: amerix : March 6th, 2013-12:20
Vianney will raise that anchor and take you along on a journey into previously unimagened - unexpected and unexplored - regions of Space! Bon Voyage! amerix This message has been edited by amerix on 2013-03-06 12:25:36 This message has been edited by amer...

I am looking forward to the journey!
