Been recently intrigued by these . The uniqueness certainly caught my eye. First drawn to the type 3. The type 5 being perhaps more robust, as it is waterproof and ‘diveable’ seemed a plus. Of course its unique oil filled display while lovely may make fut... 

The type 5 is definitely too big and chunky for my wrist. I also think the different/bigger numerals on the dial give to it a not so elegant look and feel. Here some comparison with the type 3. Another point I could never understand: since the oil can get...  

At least for my large wrist, I think either size works

And was lucky to own a Type 1 and 3, they are amazing watches, feel special, my 2 gripes, oil temp and they didn't give me the confidence they can take a knock or fall and not damage the movement or Crack the glass and all the oil drains out, as clumsy as...  

I find this thread very interesting because Sinn Hydro get a lot of flack online for high maintenance costs every 7 yrs or so but at least most hydros live a hard life. The oil filled case dial is a thing to be experienced in person and I've been hunting ...

Had a early type 1 for a few years. Fun watch and had it serviced too . Costs where like normal but then again it was not a 3 or 5 so maybe these are a bit higher in comparison to the 1 . I must admit it lost its fun part after a while and i started weari...
