Still.....NOT seeing the difference
Alex,
First, thanks for posting and also to Mr Strehler, whom I like as a person, for showing this watch.
I looked at the photos before and after reading the technical specifications and still cannot see the point.
As a sculpture of butterflies.....maybe.
As a micro-engineering case study for rate of power supply.....definitely.
As a simple time keeper, read-at-a-glance watch........er.......not seeing it.
It's like those men with red flags that the Law used to require walking in front of the early automobiles......makes using the machine difficult. 
But hey, that's just one guy's opinion,

After 7 years andreas strehler launches a new wris watch: The Papillon
based on the same principle of time reading as the Opus 7, Andreas Strehler will be introducing at Basel this year his new Papillon....
Just guessing....
....it shows about 9:06:30, but if it does then it was a difficult exercise to ascertain. Alex, is that on the mark? Cheers, pplater.

It is a very interesting piece of art but...
it is not a smart timepiece especially when you want to tell time, IMHO. May be, Mr. Andreas Strehler has been trying too hard. Regards Ling
What a pity it's called Papillon too
Since Daniel Roth made such an excelllent Papillon. It's a great concept, but I have had it now with all these creative concepts, that cost a fortune and don't tell the time in an easy way. I really don't mind time reading in a different way, like Genta's...
