That dial is spectacular! Love the big seconds dial and the shape of the 2’s and the flourish on the 4!

The see-through case back would deserve a shot too for the pleasure of our eyes!

The back is truly beautiful

Many congratulations Mitch. Beautiful execution of case and dial. Not very often the watchmaker himself makes the case. Even using some of the same hand operated lathes used by Patek making models such as the 2499! Hannes hand engravings on the dial makes...

There is some interesting watchmaking happening in Denmark. Am expecting another piece from another Viking watchmaker.

I think it’s a little unfair how little exposure he gets.

His Secular Perpetual deserves much appreciation. IWC is so proud of theirs, released this year, while Svend produced his decades ago and yet it flies under the radar.

It’s a very specific or particular type of watch. Old school maybe would be a way I think of it in today’s watch world. Would love to hear any thoughts you have on folks doing it the way Christian is doing it versus where we are more broadly in the high e... 

There are those with relatively big operations and then there are those who operate alone or with a small team to help them achieve their vision. All have the advantage of not having to answer to a corporate hierarchy though some of the bigger independent... 

My tastes too are varied, and happy to cross from small to big and back again in terms of brands. And wholeheartedly agree with your last comment, and I think all here probably agree too; there is most certainly something special about the real small oper... 

I don't use the term 'grail-worthy' very often but it would definitely apply to this watch! This to me is what small batch independent watchmaking is all about. Can you share a shot of the back, too?

Had an opportunity to handle one of these pieces earlier in the year. Beautiful watch!
