Thanks, glad you enjoyed the report!
There is no quickset adjustment for the month - that is, you have to cycle through all the dates to change the month, then cycle through them again, etc. I received the watch from the AD with the date already set, but others have reported that the date change is very fast, and you can quickly advance through the months. Perhaps in a few months I'll give the watch a long rest and check this out, but for now, a full wind every weekend is the plan.
One other nice feature is what Moser calls the "double pull crown mechanism". The first pull of the crown gets you to the date change position. You pause a beat, and then give it a second pull to advance to the time setting position. There is no fumbling around trying to find the first position, and resetting the time or date when you intended to do the other one. It is a small detail that may solve a problem that you didn't know existed - but again, this attention to subtle engineering details is how Moser rolls. And pushing the crown back in after adjusting the time is perfectly smooth, with no moving around of the minutes hand.
By way of contrast, my JLC Master Moon has no quickset for the day of the week - that has to be done by turning the crown through all the hours of the day. A slow and laborious process. When I get that one started after a rest, I wait until the day after the day that shows on the watch. advance the time to 6 AM of the correct day, adjust the other calendar functions and moonphase, and then set the correct time and give it good wind. Even though a bit inconvenient and not really a "set and go" kind of watch, the Master Moon also has a place of honor in the watch box!
