Most unfortunately, it looks like these few fleeting moments at the auction preview would have been my only chance in this lifetime to experience such a magnificent work of art that is the Dufour Grande Sonnerie... A heartfelt congratulations to the winne...  

of the many I know who were watching very carefully, there were four I sincerely hoped would end up being the next caretaker of this masterpiece. to a certain "gentleman Purist" my heartiest congratulations...I couldn't be happier! and so glad it's "stayi...

As an (unsuccessful) bidder for the AP/Dufour sonnerie pocket watch, I heartily congratulate the new owners of both that piece and the PD sonnerie wrist watch. Still kicking myself that I signed up for an absentee bid rather than live bidding on the pocke...
