Romain Gauthier C
Quite a number of the Romain Gauthier C6 have recently come on the market in the past few weeks, just months after its limited release. I've heard from a few of the collectors that they are concerned too many watches are being made (especially with the release of the supposedly not limited Carbonium edition). What are ya'lls thoughts on this? Is the C series being milked too much? I was initially under the impression that C6 would be the last and he would move on, but then the Carbonium edition came out..

I like the C / continuum line from RG. The price seems reasonable and it truly is a brand entry point not just in price but in production / availability and if you can get a great deal pre-owned isn't that a good thing? Isn't that the way it should be and...
My thoughts are similar
Watches are supposed to lose value preowned. It’s nice that they are becoming more readily available I’d rather own the solid dial Gauthier over a royal oak.

But the C is a watch that I have tried to understand, but have failed to understand the appeal.

In the pre-owned market. Instead, it is the volume rolex steel sports and a few others, only the people buying know what they are doing.
I think your right about some brands milking their popular models a bit to much imho
When talking about bigger brands a limited edition of a few hundred is more or less normal but when it comes to independent brands a few hundred pieces can lose it exclusive feeling imo . Still a great and fantastic looking watch tbh .

The preowned prices are down which makes it very attractive. It’s less than an APRO used and a far better watch. All true collectors should be happy!
To one of my points above, all the C that came before the C6 had sold at a discount. So that is fully what I expected when ordering my C6.
No different than the Urwerk I have on my wrist today, I was always going to be worth less if I sold it. Fret not, winter is coming. I feel like there will be a huge correction in a lot of watches.
