Recycled precious metal

Recycling precious metal has always existed, yet so far none of the Swiss major precious metal supplier provide a 100% recycled version of gold or platinum. They provide it CoC (Chain of Custody) but not recycled and mix their alloys with recently mined gold or platinum. We had to go to Agosi based in Germany and belonging to UMICORE, which does an incredible work recycling heavy metal from scrapped phones, to get our 100% recycled micro-rotor. Fully recycled is significantly more expensive than CoC once you machine it. We don't pretend we'll save the world by doing this. We just believe it is possible for a very small company to make a clear action in favor of the planet and that repeated small actions will improve the world. This is what we can do today with our limited means... It is a small first step, we agree, yet in the field of watchmaking we are the first company (to our knowledge) to employ fully recycled gold or platinum in a micro-rotor. All the best. Xavier

That's a great looking watch but but the recycled platinum is kind of silly. Precious metal has always been recycled. If anyone knows of a landfill full of platinum send me the address!
