New Parmigiani Tonda PF chronograph

Dear All,

I have a chance to try the Tonda PF Chrono stainless steel at a local AD.

The initial impressions are as follows:

1. The case is finely polished with a combination of patterns and the integrated bracelet fits the contour of my wrist very well.

2 The 42mm size, 12.4mm thick case is still manageable on my 16.3cm wrist

3. The three counter blue dial with guilloche is simple and beautiful. Only wish if there is no date window.

4, The newly designed PF030 automatic Chrono movement, with skeletonized 22K gold rotor, vertical clutch and column wheel is large and beautiful. Although the edges of some bridges/ plates appears have machine generated bevels. The cut out parts do appear to have hand polished bevels.

5. The 100m water resistance with screwed down crown is nice, As some of you may know, I like to rinse my sport watch under tap and even bring it down to the pool.....

6. The activation of Chrono hand is a bit hard, as expected in a vertical clutched automatic Chrono movement.

Overall, I am quite attracted by it and highly likely to acquire this beauty as my first PF time piece.

Best,
Henry

Looking forward to seeing one in the metal soon.

This one does look stunning Henry and the movement side looks pretty neat as well!
