Independents

My favorite

is the Antiqua, but I fear people are getting the impression that I own all these VHs. I WISH! smile

The Classic in the photo is mine, but the others were pieces Vianney brought with him during an indie watchmaker tour last year (written up here as Tim Jackson's Watch History in the Making II and the GTG in LA that followed). The HTO (which I mistakenly called the VHO) in the picture is the watch Vianney wears daily, or did at that time.

The Janvier No. 1 is a limited edition of 12 pieces named for Vianney's hero, Antide Janvier. The watch has the same case shape as the Classic, but it's 40mm instead of 36 and wears very large on the wrist due to the lugs. The way it displays the phase of the moon is awesome, and the gold sun hand shows the equation of time. The view through the display back is no less impressive.

Cheers,
Dom
