Independents

It's true, it's very different here in London

Most of the stores are now "inside out" with the bulk of the stock in the window. When you go inside, you see viewing tables but very little stock. When you want to see a watch, the sales people retrieve it from the window display. It's not necessarily an issue of having greater stock, but the presentation of it. The most extreme example is Wempe on New Bond St, which has basically has a showroom accessible from the street before the entry.

However, a few of the finest stores still adhere to more restrained window displays yet possess an impressive stock on the inside. William & Son is a good example.

Enjoy London!

Cheers,

Brandon
