but one of my current predicaments is similar to yours - a stainless steel Remontoire or a Voutilainen 2 Eight. The former is produced in 25 pieces while the latter in 10 pieces. The Remontoire to me represents excellent value for money for such a complex and inegenious movement. I like the 2 Eight as it comes in 37mm which is ideal for my small wrist. I love the arabic numerals instead of Kari's usual Roman numerals. Of course, Kari's movement is sublime but can it really compete with Gronefeld's Remontoire?! I am not so sure here. You might want to consider ordering your Remontoire with a bespoke dial from Kari which is an option (at a price of course
) It will still cost less than any of Kari's watches but I think we need to credit Kari for the near incomparable finish of all his watches.
