... I sometimes feel the same about certain independent brand.... But don't give up! I do own both big names and independents. Well picked independents are something to wear and own proudly for a long, long time. Nonetheless, I am sorry to hear that you had to return one, whichever it is. Let us see the rest of your independent collections, please....

i would never return a watch just because it broke down. no it's much more than that it went back, it came back, and the dial was changed without any forewarning. the case had scratches in place where there weren't before. i shan't go on

A watchmaker is a person who can actually make a watch, although he may leave some or most of the work to others. That requires hands-on experience and not just the ability to program a machine or come up with a design. amerix

my initial issue was quite straightforward really: - watch didn't run after a couple of days of purchase; dust under dial; toolmark on chapter ring; slightly misaligned case-to-dial - sent watch back immediately for overhaul - initial promised return date...
