I have to imagine that this was the watch that a well-to-do soviet boy or girl would have been excited about, much like the casios of your childhood.

The watch for the soviet youth number 1. I can imagine if i was born in Russia in the twenties century, i wanted your watch. The Rolex from Russia.... Other: Soviet civilians wanted much trendy products from the west. The Pepsi and Wodka share. Another ex...

This watch actually does have a backlight! It is very dim, but it's there. I imagine it will do the job when it is dark out.
