I am in the same camp...preferring the classically inclined DBs

 


The most important thing is it's back on your wrist. An oiling job shouldn't have taken so long, but such things, like disputes over sales and servicing costs do happen.

Yes, I think those hands deserve a close-up shot... I will gift my son a macro lens for Christmas, because my very basic camera cannot do much more!

Curious to know how long the service took. I had a friends Patek been in for 8months and more recently my AP is expecting a min 16-week service time.

...about who had to pay for the service (me or him). It was a NOS which clearly needed re-oiling of the machinery but the seller was resistant to admit it in the beginning. Eventually he did, but it cost me a few months... All's Well That Ends Well :)

It can be quite surprising how old these NOS watches are which can make for interesting times if you try and claim under guarantee!
