I'm not saying that; I'm just trying to figure it out, as we all take photos with our phones and cameras.

 

Watches don't have many parts that are susceptible to bending, so it might just be the hairspring if we're talking about magnetism (not shocks).
Perhaps by 'bend', they meant 'overlap', which is only a semantic difference, but could sound scary to us.
I've just realised that we can easily turn our phones into airplane mode, which eliminates magnetism.
