[Geneva events] De Bethune, novelties.

One of the longest and interresting Rendez-vous, was with the De Bethune team.
I was receive by Mr Flagollet and Esther.

We talk about the commercial strategy of De Bethune, mainly about the absence of communication.
The reason of this discretion is really simple, De Bethune prefer invest in reschearch and producting tools than in risky communication.
The actual crew of De Bethune, is of 40 persons, a very big team for an independant watchmaker,
De Bethune sale between 200 and 300 watchs per year, between 30000€ and more than 100000k€ when you know high salarys in Switzerland,
you notice that you are very far (in lightyear unit) from the swindler money machine based on BnB tourbillons...
This " product" strategy authorize to manufacturing a great part of the production, the reschearch (the main move is constitued by a double barrel of 6 days power reserve that you found on all De Bethune) and producing are made internal...
When Denis Flagollet speak about his figures, I was positively surprised by his approach.
A great approach of craftsman, in the best way.

The watch that I love more, is the new DB25L moonphase with bleui titanium dial.
Until now, the white dial on DB25 are finest than titanium (blue one) dial...
But this watch, not only equalize, but overtake (not Overstake ) the finish of DB25 white dial.

My english is very poor, and he miss me the appropriate word to qualify it.



The titane is blued by spécial 700° oven. Against 300° for a steel blued.
The result is hallucinating



The dial could be personalized the celestial map of your choice.
The dial of this model, is the day of creation of DB.





All game, has is end, and the end for me, is the price, around 46000€.
I try to console myself, i don't love the ultra-modern finish of the movement, It's loke alike a Grand Seiko...
With the annulaire plenty balance wheel, the square spiral...

Let me suffer alone, is too hard. :'(





In classical way of the DB25, always superb, with this new moonphase.
But the titanium version is too high to be catch up.

The technical of paiting of the index is crazy. It look alike as the technical employed by the professionals miniatures painters.
Three coat are apply by dab. But the following coat where applied when the coat before was not dry...
As that the edges of index is naturely created by the viscosity of the wet paint.

Great art, to apply this hard technic to the horlogical.

At the wrist, this great watchs sounds perfects.



A pics of the DB24vétrois, not a novelties, but maybe the greatest sportwatch of all horlogical.
My favorite in this brand with the DB25Lune titanium.



A duo of DB22, not really a novelties, but the access of De Bethune around 30000€.
Rose gold and titanium. Titanium fit better to this watch, the rosegold is too for me.
So I thnik that I don't buy it (there's someone in collector market).







After, the DBL, is not my favorite in De Bethune, too much for me.
She miss of sobriety.
But the dial and the technic of cote de genève making, is crazy, the watch focus your wiew at the center of the dial.
Impressive.







The new version of the dreamwatch one. The dial is made from oxidize and polished metal.
The result is craziest than a really good PVD...
I don't love the interior lugs of this watch, they are too large.
I don't really love it, but this piece bluff me.





To continue the masochism, my two favorite, DB24vétrois and DB25Lune titanium. Perfect duo.
