I will be seeing and even trying out one of these soon - but only an SS protype, thanks to Philippe Mariez of La Manufacture Janvier - a very nice person and a great fellow to know!
The thermometer is there, because to actually HAVE one of these on the wrist can mean that the body temperature will soar to a delerious, almost malerial grade of fever!
IMO many recent designs not do come even close to this one, especialy those with high-tech technology and sci-fi design..
The personal name of the designing partnerr Pascal Pagès should also be made better - or at least better - known!
I know of no other watch that better exemplifies the major dilemma of:
Should it be put into a museum for modern art - or shoud I take it out into the street!
But never kept in a safe as an object for speculation.
As you may think, I am extremely partial to VH!
