I'm with you on the case material, given the size it needs to be light (at least for most wrists). I also think the darker finishing works to make the watch more wearable (smaller).
I was very fortunate to have the white dial variation on my wrist last week. I'd seen many pictures, a great video of a factory tour with RG guiding and countless write ups. However to see it in the metal and up close led to a much greater appreciation.
My biggest disappointment was that the watch is just too big for me. It's boarderline if I'm fair, and while that is not always a problem and can be overcome in many cases at this price point nothing short of perfection (for one's own wrist) is acceptable. Perhaps I need to spend more time in the gym!

I never was that impressed with his watches.
Until we visited his workshop and I could see what was going on. It is an extraordinary watchmaker, that is for sure. His technical approach is not only very interesting but also admirable.
Also based on your explanations, your decision seems to be the logical one
Looking good on you and reading your words and impressions, I read some passion for this piece. Will surely enjoy some profile shot of the watch on your wrist soon? Not to mention the macros. Looking forward to it and counting on you. I would be concerned...

I didnt look at the brand much but like arie said after a visit to the factory i was amazed about the passion and craftmanship of the brand . Your LO looks amazing and i love the blue dail . It really pops imo

..and think on yours it looks just how it is supposed to look, great ! I came back yesterday from a trip and have it on me already today, I find it extremely comfortable. a winner...good luck deciding
