Depends what you mean by 'notch'...
...and what a 'notch' is worth to you! 
The Moser perpetual is a lovely watch and the finish is of a pleasingly high standard. Is it the very highest? Maybe not. Do you want/need/aspire to the very highest?
Many would say that it offers great 'bang for buck' in that respect; others would just say it's a great watch on any metric and you can't go wrong. In the final analysis it's what you say that matters.

But preliminarily, I would say the it sports a different finishing to ALS, and comparable to Patek Calatrava range, but slightly below the Patek complications, and totally comparable to FPJ, if comparisons were absolutely necessary, and applicable. I will...
