Yes Ken, on the Series 1 watches, at least on the early ones, the winding and setting was a bit fiddly.
To tell you the truth I didn't try it this year to see if it has been improved on the Series 1.
This entire functionality is new on the Type 3 and what I tried was nice and smooth.
