Pita is the family surname from the Aniceto’s mother. Since all the watches are made with love personally by Aniceto, and honesty is one of the pillars of our brand, Aniceto wanted to have a meaningful name to him that transmits the love he feels, the same way he want to transmit his love when making any watch to the rest of the collectors. He also thought using the father’s family name, but being Jiménez, besides being longer, he thought it would be tough for others to pronounce.
Oceana 5000 as seen in the post with beatiful photos, is the first mechanical watch in the world (since 2005) that uses our patented Remote Transmission technology, based on Magnetic Gears, and eliminating the standard crown and helium release valve. On top of that, the absence of gaskets everywhere, even between the crystal and internal case, removes the need for maintenance. This dive watch is so safe there is never a risk for water entry, since there are no weak points, and your watch will not drawn having a swim or taking a shower, like many other brands (when forgetting to screw down the crown, or when gaskets get old and cracked).
