Lunar meteorite is pieces of the moon that have fallen to earth. Their origin can be confirmed by comparing their composition to rocks collected on the moon.

A dumb question: how is lunar meteorite harvested? Was it collected during the prior lunar missions? Couldn’t have been too many of such missions. Sorry. Just a nerdy question
