I vote 42...and you know my reason lol

And if anyone wonders...42 is measured from the length (tall) side...the width of what Bexei call "42mm" is actually around 38mm.

Something exciting is happening!

Aaron Bescei was considerate enough to make me two aluminum dummy cases for his Dignitas watches, one 42mm and the other 38mm. Now, I have to decide which one to get! ...

Very nice to send the aluminum dummies!

As for the size, 38mm no contest!

Yes, it was extremely kind of him to do so.

And he made them in a matter of days!

For your wrist 38

Couple of better photos

Looks massive.

Are you looking for a so-called statement piece (I hate that term, but you get the point) or an elegant piece that can easily fit under a shirt cuff. No right answer here.

Good question. I have to think on that.

My photos make the watch look much bigger than it actually is. I very comfortably wear a Gronefeld One Hertz, which is slightly bigger than the 42mm Bexei.

The 38mm looks great on your wrist

and it also may be more comfortable to wear. George

a vote for 38. NO doubt!

This is really tough

42 might look a little too big, but that may also be because the aluminum pushes to the highest point of the crystal. In reality the watch would not look “as” big as the aluminum dummy. The 38mm in my view looks a touch on the small side. It’s usually bes...

Great points

I agree that once you add the domed sapphire the watch will look smaller. The aluminum dummy is just a big hunk of metal. I also agree that the case design seems to call for a larger dimension. I’m strongly leaning toward 42

A Tricky Problem

Looking at the images I think that the 38 is a shade small (maybe okay for Sham on an extroverted day? )) but the 42 a bit big. May I suggest asking Aaron if he could curve or angle the lugs of the 42 down a little bit? Whatever you do, it'll be a beautif...

Oooooof, sublime!

Thank you Antony!

I’m looking forward to joining the club

38nm - lovely lovely stuff

Initially 38mm no question but seeing your additional pictures I’m not as certain.

It does seem the larger case can work for your wrist. That said, in my experience I’ve never regretted choosing the smaller case when such choice was available. And I think I’d lean that way here too. Case sizes aside, super interesting project. Good luck...

definitelly 38mm.....

You are correct

 By: Cozmopak : March 11th, 2021-06:31
After playing with these dummies all night, the 42 is the clear winner

Same comment like i wrote on IG .

It all depends on the style and design of the watch imho

I agree with you

 By: Cozmopak : March 11th, 2021-14:56
I want the larger watch simply because I want more real estate to enjoy Aaron’s art. Also, 42 was his original design, and that’s important to me

Fantastic update!!

 By: Spencer Karrington : March 11th, 2021-10:48
I think that I would go for the 38 becuase it seems more wearable for everyday but I agree with how maybe you could do a 39 or 40 cuz it seem just a tad too small for your wrist. I also like the idea of having the lugs curved more cuz it looked badass too...

Haha, thanks!

 By: Cozmopak : March 11th, 2021-14:54
I’m excited. I don’t want to change the size of the case. The movement now fits the cases perfectly. Also don’t want to change the case design. He spent a lot of time working on the design and it is stunning. Want to keep his original intent

Fantastic! It does not matter either way cuz it is just so awesome!!

 By: Spencer Karrington : March 11th, 2021-15:12
What did you change to the case design?

Nothing.

 By: Cozmopak : March 11th, 2021-15:32
I don’t want to change the lugs. If you look at the lugs, they reference the movement bridges. The case and the movement organically flow from one to the other.

Here is the 38

 By: Cozmopak : March 12th, 2021-14:35
Next to my Kudoke. I’m starting to wonder whether 38 may be the right way to go But no, not swamped, the movement is different for each case. Each is fitted perfectly to the case ...

The position of the movement axels will be the same, unless he uses 2 totally different movements or a module...

 By: MCG (Markus) : March 13th, 2021-07:57
So the optics will be much more centred and there will be more space around it for the 42mm case.

I vote 42...and you know my reason lol
