I like Habring, but he may close his cases better or up the finishing. [nt]

Thought I'd share a couple of photos I recently took. Cheers! Daniel...

So I imagine it was a custom request? Especially the BW pic is fabulous - thanks for sharing!

Yes!

Thank you--custom design worked out between myself and Richard and Maria. Similar to their 3D tourbillion, but simpler. DJK

Cool!

Lovely watch, especially with the cut out dial, and in a nice blue too! Thanks for sharing this with us!

Thank you

I worked with them from their 3D tourbillion design, and they had Stefan Kudoke do the skeletonizing around the balance, which I wanted to be able to see from the front side. DJK

lovely! [nt]

Function, not decoration

Richard and Maria are capable of very high finishing (and indeed, have shown such on some recent watches, like the TZ20). But their interests are in the long term function of their watches, and as such they maintain simple decorative finishes. That said, ...

I love that!

Their work is great -- a totally different aesthetic, but totally compelling. I was in a well known Silicon Valley watch shop the other day looking at $600K Gruebel Forsey tourbillons and the guys there were oohing and aahing over my Habring2 double split...
