I fail to see...
...the issue your bank has with this transaction. You are not, nor can you, ordering anything through the website and any contact you would have had with them as best I can see went via email or phone. If your bank really did check out the site, I'd hazzard a guess they saw that the SSL cert for the site was self signed and expired and this prompted them to issue a warning. Only your bank will know for sure what their problem was with the site so I'd ask them for clarification.
Given that Ranier is an AHCI member and Nienaber-Uhren has been around since '82, I personally see no problem buying something from him.
